We are pleased to announce the second edition of the Workshop on Networks and Development, that will be held in Naples (Italy) from the 29th (noon) to the 31st (noon) of May 2023. The workshop aims at bringing together researchers working on themes related to networks and development economics to present their work. Topics include (but are not limited to): peer-effects, insurance networks, firms' networks, information, family networks.
Both theoretical and empirical papers are welcome.

We are pleased to announce that the Econometric Society has elected our Scientific Director Eliana La Ferrara as Second Vice-President. She will presumably become First Vice-President in 2023 and President in 2024.
LEAP invites students to submit proposals for research projects on poverty and development issues through the "LEAP Student Grant" project.
We support interesting ideas and well-designed projects or part of a project (pilot). The grant request can be up to 4000 euros.
This appointment of our LEAP Development Coffee Seminar will feature a presentation from Ashish Shenoy, Assistant Professor of Agricultural and Resource Economics at UC Davis, on his paper on a large-scale migration loan program that offers a short-term low-interest migration loan to hundreds of thousands of landless rural workers during the agricultural lean season in northern Bangladesh.
The Roberto Franceschi Foundation, which promotes scientific research in the field of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of social pathologies and forms of social exclusion, is awarding a research grant of 6,000 Euros (before taxes) to finance the collection of an original data set for the realization of their Master of Science or PhD research thesis in the field of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of social pathologies and forms of social exclusion, in line with the Foundation's mission.
The Economics of Environment and Energy Programme (EEE), International Growth Centre (IGC) and Programme on Innovation and Diffusion (POID) within the LSE Economics Department will convene an Environment Week at the LSE from 20-23 September 2022.
LSE is soliciting papers from PhD students and faculty in all areas of the economics of environment and energy. The deadline is 18 July and authors will be notified (at latest) by 19 August.
