Summary and Key Findings

The goal of this project is to estimate the effect of entrepreneurship training programs in Jamaica using a randomized control trial. The study will measure the effects of a training on non-cognitive skills  (with focus on personal initiative) and of a longer training including a course on personal initiative and another one on business practices. The evaluation will be based on a comparison of relevant outcomes between those entrepreneurs randomly selected to be offered free training in one or both modules and a group of entrepreneurs randomly selected to receive no offer to participate in the training.
