I am a PhD student in Politics at New York University. Before entering graduate school I received a Master of Science in Economic and Social Sciences from Bocconi University. I work in the fields of comparative politics and political economy of development: in particular, I study the institutional roots of ethnic, national, and religious identity in new democracies, and the effects of violence and collective memories on political behavior. In my research I like to employ different approaches, including micro-econometric analysis of primary archival data and survey experimental methods.
